No, not at all. We teach pinyin from day one—it’s actually one of the first things you’ll learn. Think of it as the pronunciation guide for Mandarin. Most beginners grasp the basics within the first 2-3 lessons.
Absolutely. We offer flexible scheduling with evening and weekend classes specifically designed for professionals. Whether you’re learning for business communication or personal growth, we can work around your schedule. Many of our students are KL-based professionals balancing work and learning.
Simplified Chinese is used in mainland China and easier to learn initially—fewer strokes per character. Traditional Chinese is used in Taiwan and Hong Kong. We focus on simplified characters in our Beginner Mandarin Essentials course since it’s more widely spoken, but we can guide you if you need traditional characters for business reasons.
We prioritize real speaking from lesson one. About 60% of class time is spent on conversation practice—we don’t believe in pure memorization. You’ll practice with native speakers, do role-plays, and tackle real-world scenarios like business calls or casual chats at a café.
